Want to make a movie?

Then make sure you hire Denzel Washington because the actor’s latest hit ‘The Equalizer’ is starting to prove why (almost) every film he stars in turns to box office gold.

‘Equalizer’ is looking at a huge opening weekend, analysts say.

Currently on the run to make a whopping $35 million by the end of the week, it’s fair to say that Denzel’s newest flick has managed to scoop a good amount of cash with an impressive sum.

Down the line, ‘The Maze Runner’ and ‘The Boxtrolls’ are looking to make $17 million while ‘This Is Where I Leave You’ comes in at $8 million.

The flop sequel ‘Dolphin Tale 2’ managed to make another $5 million, following a rather disastrous opening week in the States. ‘No Good Deed’ stands to make $4 million, just one down below the family film.

‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ couldn’t battle ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ for a higher spot as they barely made the top 10 spot with $1.5 million while ‘Galaxy’ pulled in a further $3.5 million domestically.

Looks like the promotional work Denzel and his co-stars – including Chloe Grace Moretz – did for the movie really did pull off. It’ll definitely pull the number one spot this weekend.
