Justin Bieber has damaged his ear drum, causing him to seek immediate surgery, according to what the singer had to say on Twitter earlier today.

The 20-year-old made it known that after a fun time cliff diving with close pals, Justin ended up going way too deep in the water, causing his ear drum to bust.

Shortly after seeing a doctor, he was informed he would need surgery performed on the ear to avoid any further damage — it’s unclear how severe the situation is, but busting your ear when going too far down in the water can be super painful.

“Busted my ear drum cliff diving. Doc says might need surgery now. Sucks,” Bieber wrote on his social media page, causing a huge outcry from his Belieber fans who have wished their idol a healthy and safe recovery.

“My ear drum might back us up a little but I’m still bringing you this new music. Much love. Damn u cliff diving!”
Justin wouldn’t say how severe the damage was in any of the tweets his posted following the accident. When Bieber stated that his ear drum was to “back us up a little,” it’s believed that he’s referring to the release of his joint album with Cody Simpson.

The two were set to release a record later this year followed by a North American tour, but with Justin’s damaged ear, he won’t be able to promote the record unless he’s in a more stable position to perform the songs.

Of course this is just an assumption. If the label are daring to release the album without any of Justin’s promotion then that would be a risky move in terms of what the record sales will look like at the end of the first week upon the album’s release.
