Blake Shelton seems to be having a jolly good year, as Billboard confirms the country artist has snagged yet another number one album on the charts.

According to official reports, Shelton’s newest record ‘Bringing Back the Sunshine’ has topped its competition after selling 101,000 copies in its first-week sales.

Not his strongest opening sales, but still impressive.

It’s impressive for the fact that Blake’s latest album is one of only three records to hit the number one Billboard albums chart this year alone. So that in itself is an achievement, right?

With his stint on ‘The Voice’, there are no doubts that the talent show has helped boost Shelton’s album sales.

But perhaps him being constantly dragged into a new tabloid story is also helping the singer’s music stay solidly alive.

With Blake’s recent appearance on ‘Ellen’, Shelton said he does not plan on having children with his wife, Miranda Lambert, who has supposedly been wanting kids ever since they married.

The media has dragged this along to assume that there’s trouble in paradise.

But whether those reports are true, there’s certainly no trouble on the charts.

At least not for Blake who could very well hold on to the top spot for another week running if sales stay above 70,000 copies which would easily rule out his competition against Keyshia Cole and Tinashe who both released their anticipated albums yesterday.

UPDATE: Jason Aldean’s ‘Old Boots, New Dirt’ is predicted to sell up to 300,000 copies, pushing Blake down to second place.
