Nicki Minaj’s move to shock the world with her ‘Anaconda’ music video has paid off as not only has the video become the most-viewed visual in 24 hours, the track has been certified platinum in the US.
Domestic sales have crossed 1,000,000 it has been confirmed. The news comes after ‘Anaconda’ managed to shift just over 100,000 copies in last week’s sales alone, showing that the song is still finding a large appeal to its mass audience.
This is great for Minaj seeing that her forthcoming album ‘The PinkPrint’ is eyeing its release for late November. So with ‘Pills N Potions’ going gold and ‘Anaconda’ going platinum, Nicki is definitely serving up a successful ride to a new project.
It is believed that the rapper will drop yet another song before the release of her third studio record in just over a month time.
She’s expected to host the European Music Awards in weeks to come where she’ll most likely debut the new track and hopefully have another platinum-selling track under her belt before she drops ‘PinkPrint’ to the Barbz.
