The highly anticipated film in the Fast & Furious series, to be released April 3rd next year, finally has its title. ‘Furious 7’ as was announced through a post by the official Facebook account for the film series also has its first poster.
Everyone’s been waiting for this movie and so far, we were all just saying ‘the next fast and furious movie’ but now we can say it’s title, which is just a bit shorter. This is not only shorter, it’s also the first film throughout the whole series that doesn’t have the word ‘Fast’ in it. Not to worry, this doesn’t mean there won’t be any car action that we all love; if anything, you should be excited, more than usual that is. The first sequel was 2 Fast 2 Furious, while the fourth film, Fast & Furious, got rid of any numbers and just went with the ampersand. Those were followed by 2011’s Fast Five and 2013’s Fast & Furious 6.
I’m sure everyone knows that one of the Fast and Furious members passed away recently during production, a loss for not only the team and his family but also the fans, Director Wan has commented and asked that persons be understanding about some of the scenes in the movie. Paul Walker died when filming for the movie was still going on, so for some of the scenes, Walker’s brothers helped out with the filming, taking his place in abstract and distant shots of Walker’s character.
Apart from the new title, the new promo poster and the new information about the way the movie was shot after one of the team members’ death, we can be sure that fans will be more than understanding about the situation.
