There are feasts of highly anticipated movies that will be hitting the screens next year.
But one that moviegoers are awaiting the most is the flick which will be heading out to the big screens only during the last month of the year – “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”.
Walt Disney’s epic space creation has been listed as the most awaited movie of 2015 by Fandango’s annual survey, following the hype and wave it has been creating in recent times.
Directed by J.J Abrams, the movie will be hitting the screens on December 18, 2015, and will be serving as the seventh installment of the Star Wars series, apart from the spin-offs.
The teaser trailer for the movie was released in November and managed to create good buzz, despite being heavily criticized by many for the lack of details.
Standing next to Star Wars movie is Avengers: Age of Ultron, which has also built a mammoth hype around it. The Marvel superhero’s collaboration movie will be releasing early in the summer.
Part 2 of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay managed to be at third, which is quite a drop as the part 1 stood atop in the list for last year’s annual survey.
Fifty Shades of Grey stands fourth in the list and is also the sole movie in the list to be a non-sequel one. Jurassic World, the upcoming sequel to Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park franchise, stands next to Fifty Shades of Grey as the fifth most awaited movie in the list.
There are also a plenty of big fish titles that failed to make it to the list, but yet can be billed to top the year.
These include flicks from the well established franchises like the fifth installment in Mission impossible, Furious 7 of the Fast and Furious series and Spectre of the James Bond series.
