Latest reports claim that George Clooney and David O. Russell got into a fight on the set of The Three Kings. The fight between Clooney and Russell is believed to have happened because of a number of reasons starting from the former’s pay cut to the rescheduling conflicts. George Clooney and David O. Russell Fight
According to latest reports, the reason behind Clooney’s and Russell’s friction reached a boiling point over time. Charles Roven, the producer of the film, elaborated the issue and stated that there was a lot of chaos on the sets as they were shooting the climax of the film. Clooney feels that Russell is shouting at the extras’ and the assistants. However, Roven clarified that Russell is, in fact, yelling to be heard. Roven’s comments on the issue intensify the fight even more.
If reports are to be believed, Clooney approached the director while he was scolding the assistants on the sets and this enraged Russell. The two engaged in a verbal argument which took shape into an actual brawl. However, Roven took care of the situation and calmed things down.
Clooney and Russell Fight Paid Off
It is obvious that all the stress on the sets of the Three Kings finally paid off as the movie currently holds 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. It is also considered as one of the best war movies of 1990s.
Despite their ugly fights, Clooney and Russell must be proud of the work they did together. However, it is worth noting that this is a pattern for Russell.
Russell makes phenomenal movies but is famous for clashing with the actors on the sets. Recently, while working with Jennifer Lawrence, he was reported to have exchanged some heated comments with the actress as well. The director is known for his intense directing style.
