Sources speculate the likely Winds of Winter plot that takes viewers to the series’ untouched storylines.

A Reddit forum post have compiled a set of possible storylines that would likely appear in Winds of Winter. George R.R. Martin teased what Winds of Winter might be like in the past. Now sources suggest that he’ll be showing fans various origins stories.

First off, a likely scenario is the back story of how the White Walkers came to be. The notorious ice creatures displayed their deadly prowess in Game of Thrones. It would be interesting for the fans to know more about their origins.

The White Walkers showed their destructive nature during the massacre at Hardhome. We might see more of how the Children of the Forest created these cold-blooded ice creatures. Some fans are also curious about how the back-story of Tyrion joining Daenerys group came to be.

Another interesting origins story they could explore is how Hodor started out. The iconic character’s “Hodor” line is etched into the head of Game of Thrones fans. So it’s interesting to know more about the character other than the “Hold The Door” story revealed in the series.

Winter has come in Winds of Winter

Martin teased the Winds of Winter plot to be dark and unsettling. The A Song of Ice and Fire author mentioned that fans will be seeing characters in dark places. Although Martin did hint that there’ll be fewer deaths, the plot will still be grim nonetheless.

The 68-year-old originally had plans to release Winds of Winter before the latest Game of Thrones season airs. However, Martin decided to delay its release and opted to work on the book at his own pace. With so much intriguing possibilities for Winds of Winter, let’s hope we wouldn’t have to wait that long.
