Urban legends are quite common even in this day and age. They are what kept us in-check especially when we were young. However, unknown to many, some people still believe in these urban legends and are hell bent on proving their existence. Case in point is Hollywood actor Rob Lowe.
In his new A&E television series, The Lowe Files, him and his two boys try and prove and document some of the most famous mysteries and urban myths. And one particular myth he is about to showcase if the legend of the Bigfoot or Sasquatch.
Even now, many still believe in the existence of Bigfoot os Sasquatch, or according to Lowe, a wood ape. Lowe even said that he had an encounter with the woodland creature and was almost trampled to death.
In an interview given to Entertainment Weekly, Lowe said, “a wood ape is the local vernacular for a Sasquatch or a Bigfoot. This is what I love about our show. We have fun with all of this. We hit the bullseye between true believer and skeptic in a fun way.”
“We’re 100 miles from the nearest town. We spent 45 minutes on the most rugged, brutal mountain trails. It’s 1 in the morning. There are a lot of serious former military men with loaded weapons, then something starts approaching our camps that is defying their orders to stop and their warnings that [they were] armed,” continued Lowe.
Sounds really interesting.
Rob Lowe’s documentary, The Lowe Files, will premiere on A&E Network on Aug. 2 at 10pm. Lowe will be joined by his two sons, Matthew and John Owen in uncovering the truth on some of the wildest urban myths in history. The nine-part series will investigate spooky legends and finally culminate with the Bigfoot story.
